Midwest Comedy Showcase gives opportunities to comics to be a part of our shows by invite or by your request for a guest set at one of our shows.
Each show is carefully planned; balancing different styles, personalities and content. Comics who have not been seen in person by one of the Midwest Comedy Showcase producers are required to perform a non-paid guest set before being offered a full set. A guest set is limited to 5 minutes and it’s a chance for you to get to know us, and for us to get to know you.
Our shows are made up of 6-8 comics with a mix of guest and full sets. Comics performing a full set typically get 8-15 minutes of stage time and are paid for their performance.
Our weekly show is in a theater setting at The Clearwater Theater in West Dundee, Illinois. Midwest Comedy Showcase produces other shows throughout the Chicago area located in venues that vary from theaters to restaurants.
Midwest Comedy Showcase works hard to promote our events through various channels including radio, newspaper, our website, Facebook, Twitter, event listing services, flyers, posters and email. We ask that comics help as they can to promote Midwest Comedy Showcase and the shows by inviting their fans, friends and family to come out and support local comedy.
Midwest Comedy Showcase welcomes comics of varying style, gender, ethnicity and tenure who treat each other and our fans with professionalism and respect. The comics who grace our stages are asked to adhere to the defined set times granted to them - which allows a show to run smoothly and stay on schedule.
Comics who perform at Midwest Comedy Showcase shows are also listed on our website in the "Our Friends" area.
